Several weeks ago, I found myself researching the best deals on car seats. The Britax Boulevard has a 4.5 star ranking on Amazon, with over a hundred customer reviews from fairly satisfied parents who paid nearly $300 for the seat. The Evenflo Triumph also had 4.5 stars and two hundred fifty mostly happy customer reviews who paid about $150 for their car seat.
So, what are the differences between the Britax Boulevard and the Evenflo Triumph Advance?
1. The Britax car seat has velcro to hold the seat's straps out of the way while you are putting your baby in or taking her out of the seat, which eliminates the need to fish for the straps behind your baby's back. This is a convenience, however, it does not seem to be worth $150 extra dollars.
2. The Britax car seat had thicker and wider straps, which are safer, and would distribute inpact in case of a crash. This factor may well be worth paying extra money for, but Consumer Reports rated the two seats as performing the same in their crash tests.
3. The Britax safety seat is easier and simpler to install than the Evenflo seat. This is not a big deal if you keep your car seat in one car at all times, however, if you constantly transition your car seat from one car to another on a regular basis, then it may be worthwhile purchasing the seat that will install faster, rather than struggling with installation each time you have to switch vehicles.
Both the Britax Boulevard and the Evenflo Triumph car seats are a great choice to protect your child in the car. If the additional features of the Britax are not that important to you, then save your money and buy the Evenflo Triumph.
